"The way people talk about my Autism shapes the way I think about myself. I choose to surround myself with voices that raise me up." ~ Emma Ward, Autistic Advocate

Dear Rebels -
Yesterday was the last day of the 2022 Stanford Neurodiversity Summit and I learned so much! It made me feel so validated, understood, and reflected to see the speakers talk about neurodiversity as if it were a good word instead of a bad one.
Throughout the summit, I made so many amazing connections! I was able to connect with the speakers to get my hands on more research. I earned 30 Continuing education hours. I connected with other autistic entrepreneurs and innovators. I offered my advice to other ND's trying to make it as artists, AND I AM THRILLED TO ANNOUNCE I will be a part of Lives in Progress Collective, founded by David James "DJ" Savarese, a nonspeaking autistic who's goal is to create transformative change by including the dis/Abled not only answer, but also ask, the questions that drive our ways forward.
I also received some awesome handouts from some of the wonderful people I met and today I wanted to share this one with you all. It asks you to reconsider the way you think about autism and invites those looking to support us to be one of those voices that raise us up.
To learn more about the Stanford Neurodiversity Project and/or register on their site for neurodiverse job assistance program: Neurodiversity at Work, I encourage you to check out their website: https://med.stanford.edu/neurodiversity.html
And as always I am here to uplift, encourage and grow with you.
